Legion Arena – Pensacola, Florida

Opened in: 1920s

Location: Barrancas & G Streets Pensacola, FL (current address is 1401 W Intendencia Street)

Seating Capacity: 3000

Originally build as an open air arena, the Legion sponsored boxing and wrestling matches during the warm months. Owner Bill Reilly added a roof onto the building in 1940, at which time longtime Pensacola promoter Vic Kalfus moved there permanently in June of that year. Kalfus actually purchased the building from  Reilly in December of 1943. Thereafter it was known alternately as Legion Arena and Kalfus Arena until Kalfus left the wrestling business in May of 1951.

The building is currently the home of American Legion Post 33 and still hosts various events including independent wrestling cards.
